Construction Progress
Pegasus now has a community of over 100 residents living on site and over 80 homes either finished or under construction, with more house plans being submitted every week. Slowly but surely, a town is growing.
Lake Pegasus is now full, attracting plenty of visitors and opened in December 2009.
The footbridge between Stage 7 and the island is complete, as is the impressive-looking swingbridge between the island and the town centre.
Pegasus recently launched the Courtyard Range of homes – 26 architect-designed homes designed around compact landscaped sections. This is an affordable range perfect for those that want less lawn mowing and more lifestyle. Detailed architects plans for these homes are currently being drawn up.
The show home village on Pegasus Boulevard is open for viewing daily and includes a number of very stylish contemporary fully furnished homes from Stonewood, Golden Homes, Mike Greer Homes, Dave Magill Homes and Artisan Homes.
Around 770 sections are now pre sold which equates to around 92% of all the sections that have been put on the market so far. To date titles have been issued for 545 sections in Stages 1 to 7 with infrastructure development work continuing on Stages 9 & 11.
The Convenience Centre is complete and the General Store is now open, as is the new Flat White Cafe and Bar which opened in the last week of November. Commercial office space will be located upstairs with leasing opportunities available now.
The Pegasus Sales & Information Centre is open daily from 9am-5pm at 116 Pegasus Boulevard, Pegasus to provide further information to anyone wanting more information on the town.
Pegasus Golf CoursePegasus Golf Course is finished - including the pro shop and The Bunker Bar and Cafe - and officially opened for play on 7 December 2009. The course will also host the Pegasus New Zealand Women's Open on 25-28 February 2010. Titles for 70 Mapleham lots in Stages 1-4 on Pegasus Golf Course have been issued. The golf course maintenance shed has been finished.
Eastern Conservation Management Area (ECMA)Wai-Ora Forest Landscapes is continuing with planting in the ECMA with in-fill and margin planting and with weed control and irrigation. Planting in the ECMA stage 2 is well underway. Around 250,000 native trees and plants have been planted so far and flocks of birds are now starting to frequent the wetland area.
