Construction Progress
Pegasus now has a community of around 150 residents living on site and over 100 homes either finished or under construction, with more house plans being submitted every week. Construction progress is well under way – a town is growing.
Lake Pegasus opened in December 2009 and is attracting plenty of visitors. The footbridge between Stage 7 and the island is complete, as is the impressive-looking swingbridge between the island and the town centre. Each fine weekend during summer has seen thousands of visitors to the 11 sandy and pebbled beaches around the lake, swimming, picnicing, barbecuing and walking around the lake.
The Courtyard Range of homes – 26 architect-designed homes designed around compact landscaped sections - are well underway with one show home now completed and several almost complete. This is an affordable range perfect for those that want less lawn mowing and more lifestyle.
The show home village on Pegasus Boulevard is open for viewing daily and includes a number of very stylish contemporary fully furnished homes from Stonewood, Golden Homes, Mike Greer Homes, Dave Magill Homes and Artisan Homes.
747 sections are now pre sold which equates to around 90% of all the sections (838) that have been put on the market so far. To date titles have been issued for 575 sections in Stages 1 to 7 and stage 11, with titles expected for stage 9 in March.
The Convenience Centre is complete and the General Store is now open, as is the new Flat White Cafe and Bar which opened in the last week of November. Commercial office space is located upstairs with leasing opportunities available now.
The Pegasus Sales & Information Centre is open daily from 9am-5pm at 116 Pegasus Boulevard, Pegasus to provide further information to anyone wanting more information on the town. A new property sales centre is also now open in the Convenience Centre.
Pegasus Golf Course
Pegasus Golf Course is open - including the pro shop and The Bunker Bar and Cafe - and has been attracting huge numbers of players to the golf course and the driving range. The new tennis courts are now open with coaching available form the Pegasus professional tennis coach. The golf course course hosted the Pegasus New Zealand Women's Open from 25-28 February 2010 with 130 players from 20 countries and a spectator audience of around 10,000 during the tournament. Titles for 70 Mapleham lots in Stages 1-4 on Pegasus Golf Course have been issued.
