February 2011
Our heartfelt sympathies go out to everyone affected by the Christchurch earthquakes and we congratulate the police, armed forces, volunteers and all the rescue crews from both NZ and overseas for the amazing job they are doing in difficult circumstances.
For Pegasus lot owners there is good news: Pegasus has been completely unaffected by the Christchurch earthquakes.
URS engineers have completed an inspection of the land and infrastructure at Pegasus and have found that Pegasus has had no damage from the 6.3 magnitude Christchurch earthquake on 22 February.
Power, gas, potable water supply, stormwater, sewerage, telecommunications and all land and buildings are undamaged.
All Pegasus amenities are open and operating as normal. Restaurants, cafés and bars are all open and are very busy. The golf course is open as is the lake which is busy with lots of Christchurch people coming out to use the beaches.
There is a drastic housing shortage in Christchurch as a result of the earthquake. If you are considering building a rental home on your lot at Pegasus, there is now strong demand for rental properties.
